Cambridge University Buddhist Society is organizing a Mindfulness Workshop this Sunday (21st February). It take place from 9 am to 5 pm in the Knights Room of Westcott House, Jesus Lane, Cambridge CB5 8BP. This workshop will be an opportunity to learn mindfulness from an experienced teacher, Ven. Kamburawala Rewatha Thero from the Scotland's Buddhist Vuhara. He has been teaching in the UK since 2002, and also acts as a Chaplain in the Glasgow University. The event is free and open to all. I hope you are back to your busy work schedule after the festive time. My personal retreat and mindfulness training sessions in Malaysia and Singapore were a great success. Now we have a new resident monk who arrived at Scotland's Buddhist Vihara on 12th of January from Colombo. I am delighted to welcome him to Glasgow and to introduce him to all our devotees and friends. Venerable Kotte Visuddhi Thero is from Kolonnawa Raja Maha Viharaya, Colombo. Venerable Rewatha Thero will be back in Glasgow on the 31st December and the Vihara will be opened from the 01st of January 2016. We are delighted to announce that Venerable Batuwangala Rahula Thero, the state award winner for best novel 2005, 2009 and 2012 is currently visiting Scotlandfor one month. We are very fortunate to have him here at the Glasgow Vihara. The Vihara has organised three sermons that Venerable Rahula will give.
